Role Playing
In the role playing, the participant is expected to perform an interview with a problematic employee by acting like an executive. In the meeting, the manager is expected to identify the root causes of the problem of the demotivated employee who also performs poorly in the team, and to develop solution solutions together to solve problems and to create action plans by reaching an agreement at the end of the meeting.
Grup Exercise Structure and Aim
- Within a 15-minute meeting, it is observed how the manager communicates with his employee and how to solve and address problems.
- In addition, assessors observe the following competencies and attitudes within the exercise:
- Whether the manager performs an effective performance and motivation interview
- Whether the manager asks effective questions to identify the causes of problems
- Whether they achieve a clear conclusion by mutual agreement
- Whether the manager communicate, convince and influence the others
Assessing Competencies
- Communication, conflict management, relationship management, coaching skills, effective listening, questioning, problem analysis, adaptation, decision making
Duration: 15 minutes role play, 30 minutes prep
Group Exercise
In a group exercise, participants are expected to work together to solve a problem or to make a decision on a situation, negotiate and reach a conclusion at the end of a certain period of time. At the end of the group study, participants are asked to briefly present their solutions and decisions.
Grup Exercise Structure and Aim
- Within a 1-hour meeting, it’s observed how participants make decisions with a group, how they manage resources, their communication attitudes and interactions within a period of time.
- In addition, assessors observe the following competencies and attitudes within the exercise:
- Contribution of the participant to fulfill the task and participation in the group
- Whether the participant shares opinions and convince the group to reach the conclusion, when necessary
- Whether the participant listens and encourages others in the process to reach the result
Assessing Competencies
- Communication, decision making, influencing, strategic thinking, self-confidence, flexibility, leadership, planning and organizing, analytical thinking skills
Duration: 1 saat
Case Analysis and Presentation
Participants are asked to convince listeners to review the information given in their departments and areas of responsibility, create a business plan, a project proposal for development, and share their ideas in the presentation environment to implement their plans. The participant analyzes the information given in approximately 45-60 minutes and prepares a presentation on solutions to include the messages she/he wants to give
Structure and Aim
- Preperation:45 – 60 min. , Presentation: 15min.
- In a 15-minute presentation, it is seen how the participant analyses the information, how she/he determines key problems, what kind of solutions she/he develops, and how she/he offers her/his ideas
- Assessor in the process:
- It’s observed how the participant organizes and plans the presentation structure, inferences and messages she/he wants to give
- It’s observed how the participant communicates the point of view clearly and concisely
- It’s observed the participant’s creativity, diversity and authenticity of the suggestions/solutions offered and how the participant analyzed the given information.
Assessing Competencies
- Analysing information, problem solving, decision making, self-expression, communication skills, language, time management, effective response to questions, effective handling of possible stress and pressure elements in limited time
Duration: 15 min Presentation, 1 hour Preparation
Inbox – Job and Time Planning
The inbox exercise is a business simulation exercise for scheduling, deciding, and delegating tasks to a team in a real business day with different importance and priorities. The exercise includes company e-mails, reports that need to be prepared, meetings and different tasks to be decided. The participant is expected to make decisions about the planning, give importance and prioritize jobs within a limited period of time, to share tasks within a team, and to consult with her/his plan briefly with reasons.
Structure and Aim
- Preparation: 30 min., presentation: 10min. Preparation: 30 min, Presenting: 5-10 min.
- Consultant’s observation:
- How does the participant analyse complex information in a limited time?
- How does the participant prioritize and balance jobs with priorities that conflict with one another?
- How does the participant make a distinction between important and urgent?
- Can the participant understand the information and use it to make sensible decisions?
- How does the participant behave under pressure?
- How are the participant’s planning and organizing skills?
Assessing Competencies
- Organization, communication, planning, stress management and decision making skills
Duration: 45 min
Interview
An average of 45 minutes of interviews are conducted between the consultant and the participant with regard to their experiences and perspectives on determined competencies during the behavior-based and competence-based interviews.
